  Assigning variable value to form INPUT value?  CGonz187 at 09:12 on Saturday, October 29, 2005

New to Perl, so I apologize for my ignorance in advance.

I have an HTML form that submits to a Perl script that saves the values of all the Inputs to a file. The form has many entries and may not be completed in one viewing. When the user returns to finish or update the form, is there a way to assign the previous values, almost as default values, so that the user does not have to complete the whole form over?

Like:
???=$company

<input name="company" value="???">

Thank you in advance,
Carlos
