Can someone give me a codeing example of how to transfer the contents of a datagrid to an excel spread sheet.
Basically i need to copy and paste the datagrid and some labels to an excel spread sheet when a button is clicked,
any ideas?

Yes directly tou can transfer data from datagrid to Excel. Code also same for Gridview. Just write few lines under your export button will transfer exact data with formatting to excel. You can try with:
