Learning VB(Looking for opinions)

I'd like some suggestions on where I should start with learning VB. I've played around with it somewhat but am not grasping the complete concept. I've learned c++ and java inschool, and learned php on my own. I'm always creating new "in-office" systems for my work, and figured VB would be easy to get more control of the UI. If anyone has suggestions of books that take the "ground-up" approach, i'd appreciate it, thanks, have a good day.
