Get all elements with a common name  hugosombreireiro at 21:57 on Friday, August 26, 2005

Hi guys,

Back with another problem!
I've this internal messenger for an intranet and I wish to update the status of the contact list every 3 seconds.
I already got XMLHttpRequest working so I can query the server.
The situation is the following:
I've named each status icon image like this: user['username'].
What I want to do is to get a list of all users by getting list of usernames based on a list of status images. That's why I gave them a common name "user". After I've this array I can get the new status for each of them and update the image.. Also, I've looked around but seems that there's no "sleep" command for javascript.

Any help with this would be very welcome

Thanks

Hugo
