Does anyone know how to dynamically change a readonly attribute on a textarea tag lets say? I want to just press a button to change the readonly attribute but the various methods I've seen posted around the internet aren't working for me. I've tried object.readonly=false, object.removeAttribute("readonly"), object.setAttribute("readonly",false), but in IE 6.0 they don't do anything or produce any errors either.
