please help i am trying to use an update button to run a vb script which will enter data into an SQLOLEDB database.
I can run the query which will extract the data from the database and display on screen but once it is edited I can't send the data back. I've been given the following so far from an ex employee but am now stuck:

To interact with a Database in most languages you have to:
A. Create a database connection object
B. Set the connection properties, including username and password
C. Open the connection
D. Interact with the database, either through other objects or by calling methods
The best way to interact with a SQL Database is to create SQL Stored Procedures, and then to call them rather than building SQL Queries in your code.
I wasn't aware that VBScript could interact with a database. I thought VBScript was Microsoft's rip-off of JavaScript, meaning, client-side code only.
You would use either VB6 or VB.NET for server-side database coding.
