onload event??  macgrrl at 13:31 on Wednesday, May 26, 2004

I am putting up a new splash page for my website and need it to display for 7 seconds or so and then automatically go to the main page without the user having to click anything unless they want to skip it. Im new at this so any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Take a look at the javascript setTimeout() method.

One strategy you can use is on page load, use this method to call a function after 7 seconds. That other function could load the next page.
