Function to return the Name, Extension , Name and Extension or Path from a fully qualified path.

Paste the following into the Declarations section of your project.

Select All Code


and now create the following function:

I'm afraid that this code fails if you have a dot character at an earlier point in the filename/path. I do have a routine which will produce a similar result to this, but does not store in the same manner. It will allow you to pull any individual directory, the drive, the filename or the extension, but was not infact written for this purpose.
