PHP Database Class with Caching Troy Wolf at 17:20 on Wednesday, June 22, 2005

http://www.troywolf.com/articles

I'm releasing a high-quality, powerful, and efficient PHP class that provides methods to work with mysql, postgres, and mssql databases. Other database types can be easily added. The class provides a common interface to the various database types.

A powerful feature of the class is the ability to cache datasets to disk using a Time-To-Live parameter. This can eliminate a lot of unneccessary hits to your database! Also, a database connection is not created unless and until needed, thus saving precious database connection resources.

Most current information and documentation found at http://www.troywolf.com/articles/php/class_db

I welcome discussion regarding this topic here in this forum.
