How do you create....  mmann12180 at 14:44 on Tuesday, July 11, 2006

Hello all

First off I am completely new to programming. I come from the networking side of house.

I want to learn some programing and have microsoft visual studio 2005 standard edition.

In my current job I need find dates that are in the future. I deal with 5 vendors that each have their own "x" amount of business days to deliver their product.

What would be the best program from visual studio, to use, if possible to work out the above problem? What are some good resourses to use to reference in my quest?

Thanks for the advice.

Of course I may be in over my head with this....

For really fast one-off small applications, or utilities like this I would use Visual Basic. I'm not too up to date on the .net version out now as everything has been changed (no hdc's ect) but the earlier versions were incredibly simple and would be my first choice. In fact I'll try one right now.
