Dear Sir,
In one of our VB application , we are generating reports as Ascii text file . We are required to produce this output report in Excel also .
Pl guide me how to go for this .
I can not open text file in Excel as it is , due format disturbence .

I didn't give a detailed code example, but provided some tips in this thread: http://www.codetoad.com/forum/16_22597.asp
You may not know that Excel can natively open CSV files with proper formatting. (Comma-Seperated Values). So if you create a csv text file and give it a .csv extension, Excel can open it and place the values in columns.
CSV text file example:
Bob Smith,(816) 555-1234, bob@aol.com, red
Mary Wilson,(423) 555-7877 mary@hotmail.com, green
