disabling a web page  ShaliniThilakan at 07:49 on Thursday, February 07, 2008

hello everyone,
I found this very interesting and special feature in some web sites...when u click on a perticular link, the entire web page is covered wid a translucent shield, and becomes unclickable. The only element clickable is a form or sometimes an image.once the necessary fields have been added to d form, and submit or cancel is clicked, the web page restores back to its normal state.
Cn anyone plz tell me,how dis is done,or wat is dis feature called?
