Can someone please point me in the right direction. I have been building a few Screen Savers. I would like to make them available for free Down Load. They all have .exe extension so they will install themselves, but how do I place them on my web so that they can be down loaded?

Not sure if this is what you want, but I link the exe file in the html script using <a href="location/setup.exe">. When the link is clicked on, a window opens to ask to user to Open/Run program or Save to file. If Run is chosen, the exe installs direct.
Hope this is some help.

Ken, you aren't one of the thousands of people going to offer free screensavers that are actually trojan horses for spyware, adware, malware, and viruses are you?
In fact, when I hit the button to reply to this thread, the ad that popped up was for free screensavers. NO THANKS!
Thank you for using the Codetoad Forum!

hi g48dd,
maybe you can zip each your screensaver file and the
internet surfer that who like your brief on that
screensaver, can download that zip file. then, later
on they can extract using any zip software such as
winzip and etc.
hello troy,
we should not think all the screensaver file is virus/
worm/trojan or what so ever. we should appreciate the
screensavers developer cause without them, our pc will
be bored. just kidding, it's not bored but appreciation
is the best word for screensaver developer.
